Fetish tests can be a fun way to learn more about what turns you on, and they can help couples discover new kinks to try in the bedroom (and out). All fetish tests aren’t created equal, and some are better than others at helping you learn more about yourself – or maybe confirming what you already suspect.
Here’s a list of the top ten fetish tests (plus three bonuses) you can take right now.
What is a fetish test?
A fetish test is a series of questions designed to help you discover your sexual fetishes. If you’ve ever wondered, “Do I have a foot fetish?” or “Do I have a secret BDSM kink?” – or even “Is my partner into [insert fetish here]?,” one of these online tests might be a good exercise.
Many are created for solo use, but some couples fetish tests allow you to compare your results – a fun activity if you’re looking for an easy way to bust bedroom boredom!
3 tips for getting the most out of a fetish quiz
Before you begin, follow these tips to get the most value out of your results.
1. Be honest
Answer questions honestly to uncover fetishes you might now know you have. It might be easy to manipulate tests to get the results you want, but then you might miss out on some fun kinks you’ll miss out on exploring!
2. Take multiple tests
Each quiz is different and might produce different results. Take two or three quizzes and look for overlapping themes to find new things you might be into.
3. Don’t take it too seriously
Fetish tests should be fun – and not taken too seriously. You can ignore your results if you don’t like or agree with them. You know yourself best, after all!
10 best fetish tests
Without further ado, here are ten of the best fetish tests you can take online today.
1. The BDSM Test
One of the more popular fetish quizzes, the BDSM Test seeks to help beginning kinksters discover their archetypes and kinks: submissive or dominant, sadist or masochist, exhibitionist or voyeur, and many more. You can take the test anonymously or register for a free account.
The test will collect some background information, such as your age group and sexual orientation. You can decide whether to take a short or a long test, which promises more accurate results, and whether to exclude specific questions if you already know which direction you lean.
The results page reveals which fetishes you might be interested in based on a percentage. If you’re unfamiliar with a particular fetish, click “more info” to learn about it.
Once you get your results, you can copy and paste them into online profiles (such as on Fetlife) if you’d like.
Remember that this test aims to uncover BDSM fetishes and may not include other types of kinks you might be interested in.
2. Kinktest
The makers of Kinktest – kinksters themselves – say the secret to a “wonderful sex life is knowing what turns you on.” If you’re unsure, you can take their comprehensive BDSM test to uncover your deepest kinks – or have a bit of fun, if nothing else.
To get started, you can choose whether to take the quiz anonymously or sign up for an account so you can see how your BDSM archetype changes over time. Next, you’ll answer a few background questions about your gender and age.
Then the real meat of the test begins. Kinktest presents a series of statements, and you select how much you agree or disagree with each.
There are several pages of questions (you can see your progress at the top), and the quiz might take 10 to 15 minutes if you truly put thought into it, but that will output better results to help you discover your fetishes!
Like BDSM Test, Kinktest reveals your results in a list of potential fetishes you seem to be interested in, with a percentage attached according to your interest in each.
If you’re unsure what something is – or just want to learn more about it – you can consult Kinktest’s list of kinks.
If you want to share your results, you can copy and paste the results as plain text or copy the direct link.
3. The Ultimate Taboo Test
With its minimalist interface, the Guided Track Ultimate Taboo Test is an unassuming quiz at first glance. Once you get started, though, you’ll quickly realize this is a comprehensive test designed to help you discover your sexual fantasies – especially given it takes 20 to 40 minutes to complete.
The Ultimate Taboo Test is presented as a survey with no option for registration, so it’s an anonymous test (more on that in a bit). First, the survey collects some background information. Next, it asks about “basic sex stuff” and porn use. Finally, it delves into more specific kinks.
Note that some background questions may touch on sensitive topics for some people (the quiz discusses this in an introduction).
Once you get into the sexual fantasy section, be sure to follow the directions to help you get more accurate results. It takes a little time, but the questions are detailed, and you’ll likely discover some new fetishes you might not have known existed.
When you’re done answering the questions, you’ll have an opportunity to join an anonymous directory of others to find each other by kinks. If you elect to join the directory, you must submit your contact information – but you can simply select “no” to remain anonymous.
Finally, the test will reveal your kinkiness score, your equivalent kinky character, and display average scores of others who take the survey. Unfortunately, we felt it was kind of a disappointment – this is indeed more of a survey than a test, and there aren’t any genuinely revealing insights at the end. However, if you’re seeking a kinky partner, the directory might bear fruit – and the site also offers a writeup of the total fetish popularities based on the survey.
4. Queendom: The Kinky Test
Answer a series of questions to determine how kinky you are with the Queendom test. Like other options, you can take the test anonymously or create an account to save your results.
At just ten questions, this is one of the shortest entries on our list, so it’s not as comprehensive as some of the other quizzes listed here. Still, it can be a fun activity to try on your own or with your significant other.
When you’re done taking the test, Queendom will assign you a score out of 100, with 0 being the least kinky and 100 being the kinkiest. The results page explains its score and offers a few recommendations for exploring your scored lifestyle.
5. Carnal Calibration
Ever wonder what kinds of things both you and your partner are into, but were afraid to bring it up in case your fetishes were too extreme? Carnal Calibration solves that problem.
Here’s how it works: you and your partner independently answer a series of “yes, no, maybe” questions about your desires and proclivities. When you’re done, Carnal Calibration will show you your matches – and omit those you don’t match on – so you can discuss what you both like!
To start, select an intensity level (beginner, intermediate, or advanced). Then, choose the categories you would like to be asked about. Next, decide how to take the test: you can either take it on the same computer, one after another or on different computers via email or a shared link. Enter some basic background information, then start the test.
As you take the test, you can add comments for your partner to read when you review your shared results. That’s especially useful for “maybe” responses, as you can explain the scenarios in which you would or would not be into trying something. There are also explanations for more obscure fetishes along the way, so you know exactly what you’re saying “yes” or “no” to.
When both partners are finished, the results page displays only those kinks that both partners either answered “yes” or “maybe” to, along with any comments. You can also print the results.
Because it only displays things you’re both into (or at least willing to consider), and because you can take the test independently, and because there are plenty of questions (but not too many – you can take it in less than 20 minutes), we find Carnal Calibration to be one of the best fetish tests for couples to try.
6. We Should Try It
We Should Try It is similar to Carnal Calibration – a couples quiz where you and your partner independently answer fetish-related questions. When you’re both finished, the results page displays only those both of you are into.
The site seems to be a promote for a trio of apps: Spicer, which is touted as “the sex app for couples,” SpicerCloud, which is a secure vault for private photo sharing, and Opencouple, an app where couples can chat and play with like-minded couples.
7. MojoUpgrade
Where’s your mojo, baby? Find it on MojoUpgrade, another couples fetish test that aims to show you and your partner where you match up on kinks.
Get started by answering some primer questions. Then, MojoUpgrade will ask if you have a “hole” or a “pole.” Answer for both you and your partner, and the site will build a quiz tailored to your genders. Note: we had to turn our ad blocker off to get the quiz to generate.
The questions are presented on cards, many of which have background images to keep things lively – there are a decent number of questions. Unlike some other quizzes, once you finish answering your question set, you can rank your responses in the order you’d most like to try.
Finally, you can view the results according to how you ranked them. Now, it’s time to upgrade your mojo!
8. Quivre
Quivre fashions itself not only as an online kink quiz but also as a communication tool. It’s designed to be a conversation starter with couples or to test compatibility on dating apps. Otherwise, it’s very similar to the previous entries – each partner (or prospective partner) answers a series of questions, and Quivre will reveal where you match up on sexual fantasies.
A couple of things set Quivre apart, however. Instead of simply choosing “yes,” “no,” or “maybe,” you drag a slider for each question to indicate your level of interest in that activity or fantasy. When you’re done, you can share a code to invite a partner or input a partner’s code to see your matches.
One potential drawback: you have to create an account to see and share results. That might not be a big deal for you, but it does make Quivre different from the other quizzes that offer complete anonymity.
9. How Freaky Are You?
How Freaky Are You? is another solo quiz that walks you through a series of 38 questions to identify what kind of freak you are between the sheets. It doesn’t focus exclusively on fetishes – though they’re definitely in there – because it also asks about your sexual lifestyle to help identify your “freaky level.”
When you’re done with the questions, the site will offer an assessment of your freaky level with a brief explanation. There aren’t any profound insights or significant fireworks, but it’s a fun quiz to take!
10. PsyCat Games BDSM Quiz
This quiz asks a series of 18 questions to try to identify your fetish. It’s a quick and fun quiz that reveals a single result suggesting a fetish you might be into. Like some other fetish tests, this one is focused on BDSM, so it asks questions related to humiliation, dominance, orgies, watersports, group sex and public nudity.
Most people can probably take the quiz in five minutes or less, maybe ten if you need to put more thought into each response – making it a fantastic couples fetish quiz that could serve as an excellent conversation starter that won’t take up too much time out of date night (or the bedroom).
